Secure to the seat by threading the vehicles’ seat belt/shoulder harness through the seat belt loops on the back of the Car-GO and clip in. Tips: When your Car-GO arrives, pop it up, open the front door and put it on the floor so your pet can discover it on his or her own time. Never force your pet into the shelter. While your pet is inside the shelter, offer lots of praise and a treat if appropriate. Repeat this positive reinforcement as often as possible while your pet adapts to his portable home. After your pet has adapted to his new shelter (it may take several weeks) secure the shelter in the car and take your pet for a car ride (use the seat belt straps) without ending up at the vet! |
