C.E.T. Aquadent Drinking Water Additive

C.E.T® AquaDent™ Drinking Water Additive was developed by veterinary dental specialists to help maintain dog and cat dental health. It helps to fight plaque and freshen breath. When used along with a regular home dental care program, C.E.T® AquaDent™ helps to maintain oral hygiene, prevent plaque accumulation, and freshen breath. C.E.T. AquaDent Disclaimer C.E.T. AquaDent has been specifically formulated to be a safe and effective product when used per manufacturer's directions. However, some consumers have shown concern about the xylitol found in this product. Dr. E. Dunayer, Board-Certified by the American Board of Toxicology and member of the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center, has reaffirmed that any risk of xylitol causing hypoglycemia in dogs is unfounded when C.E.T. AquaDent is used as suggested. C.E.T. Aquadent contains 5mg/ml xylitol when properly used. xylitol has three key benefits in C.E.T. Aquadent: it inhibits bacteria, it repels plaque, and it reduces calculus accumulation on the tooth surface. The proper mixture of C.E.T. Aquadent in water contains 5 mg/ml of xylitol. As a reference, a regular piece of chewing gum contains 100 mg of xylitol, which is 20 times the amount in C.E.T. Aquadent when correctly administered. The data on file at the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) shows that the lowest acute oral level of xylitol that causes hypoglycemia is 150-200mg. As an animal health company committed to the health and well being of pets, we agree with the ASPCA's campaign to educate pet owners about the dangers of xylitol overdose from many human products such as gum, candies, and foods containing high concentrates of xylitol as the sweeter. It has been concluded that the proper use of C.E.T. AquaDent does not present any risk of hypoglycemia in dogs. In addition, no significant hepatic toxicity is correlated to the correct dosing of this product. C.E.T. Aquadent does not have any adverse reactions in pets that are diabetic xylitol in this product does not cause insulin secretion when correctly used.
