Albon Oral Suspension 5% is specially formulated for the effective treatment of sulfadimethoxine-sensitive bacterial infections in dogs and cats. This includes bacterial enteritis associated with coccidiosis in dogs, providing a comprehensive solution for pet owners. The active ingredient, sulfadimethoxine, is a white, nearly tasteless, and odorless compound, ensuring minimal discomfort for your pet during treatment. Albon is particularly effective against respiratory, genitourinary, enteric, and soft tissue infections. It can be used to treat conditions such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, cystitis, nephritis, metritis, pyometra, pustular dermatitis, anal gland infections, abscesses, wound infections, canine salmonellosis, and more.
Dosage and Administration: Begin treatment with an initial dose of 25 mg/lb (55 mg/kg) of animal body weight. Follow with daily doses of 12.5 mg/lb (27.5 mg/kg). Here's how you should administer Albon Oral Suspension 5%:
