For over 120 years, Absorbine Veterinary Liniment has been The Horse World’s Most Trusted Name® and one of the world's best-selling horse liniments.
First developed in 1892, Absorbine Veterinary Liniment is a topical analgesic and antiseptic liquid formulated to provide fast relief from sore, aching muscles, joint pain, and arthritis discomfort. It delivers penetrating warmth to overworked or strained muscles and joints by stimulating circulation. The antiseptic formula helps prevent infection while supporting the healing of minor cuts and relieving insect bites. Ideal for horses, livestock, and dogs. Made in the USA.

What does Absorbine® Veterinary Liniment do?
It works as both a topical analgesic and an antiseptic. It helps relieve temporary muscle and joint pain while also disinfecting minor cuts, abrasions, insect bites, and certain skin conditions.
Can this be used on dogs?
Yes. The label includes dogs and livestock. Use externally only and avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. For dogs, follow label directions and consult your veterinarian before use.
Is it safe for open wounds?
It may be used on minor cuts and abrasions. Do not use on deep wounds or puncture wounds without veterinary guidance.
Can it help with thrush and hoof infections?
Yes. It penetrates the hoof sole and frog to disinfect and help manage thrush and white line disease.
Does it only provide heat?
No. In addition to the warming sensation from menthol, it contains antiseptic ingredients that help kill germs on contact.
Can it be used as a body wash?
Yes. When diluted according to label directions, it can be used as a cooling body wash after exercise.
Should I wrap after applying?
If you rub the liniment into the area, do not wrap unless specifically directed by a veterinarian.
