Advantus Soft Chews provide fast-acting oral flea treatment for dogs and puppies 10 weeks of age and older that weigh more than 4 lb. Formulated with imidacloprid, these easy-to-administer chews kill adult fleas and begin working within 1 hour of administration, helping provide quick relief from flea infestations without the mess of topical treatments. The soft, treat-like chews can be offered by hand or with food, making daily flea treatment simple and convenient. Available in two strengths based on your dog's weight, Advantus is an over-the-counter option for treating existing adult flea infestations.

Product Options:

• Dogs 4–22 lb: Each chew contains 7.5 mg of imidacloprid.
• Dogs 23–110 lb: Each chew contains 37.5 mg of imidacloprid.

Directions:

For dogs 10 weeks of age and older weighing more than 4 lb. Weigh your dog before administration to select the correct dosage strength.

• Administer orally according to the product label.
• May be given as often as once daily.
• Do not administer more than one chew in a 24-hour period.
• Follow the package directions for the appropriate weight range.

Additional Information:

• Kills adult fleas but does not prevent future flea infestations.
• Does not provide protection against ticks or mosquitoes.
• Environmental flea control measures may be needed to help manage an ongoing infestation.
• Safety has not been established in pregnant or nursing dogs.

Storage:

Store in the original container at 68–77°F (20–25°C). Replace the cap securely after each use.

Cautions and Warnings:

• For dogs only: Do not use on cats.
• Possible side effects: Vomiting, decreased appetite, decreased energy, soft stools, and difficulty walking have been reported.
• Prevent accidental ingestion: Keep the product in a secure location out of reach of children, dogs, cats, and other animals to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose.
• Not for human use: Keep this and all medications out of reach of children.
• Veterinary guidance: Consult your veterinarian before use in dogs that are pregnant, nursing, ill, or taking other medications.
