Canine Coronavirus Vaccine – Killed Virus
Nobivac Canine 1-Cv is a killed virus vaccine designed for the prevention of canine coronavirus in dogs. This vaccine is chemically inactivated and includes an adjuvant to enhance the immune response. It is effective for healthy dogs aged 6 weeks and older. It's thimerosal-free and ideal for healthy, non-parasitized dogs.
Canine coronavirus is a contagious virus that primarily affects a dog's gastrointestinal system, causing symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and depression. It can be spread through contact with oral secretions or contact with infected feces. While it is usually self-limiting in healthy dogs, it can be severe in young, elderly, or immunocompromised dogs.

Dosage and Administration:
- Use new, non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes.
- Administer a 1 mL dose subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
- The initial dose can be given at 6 weeks of age.
- Give a second dose 2-4 weeks later.
- Annual revaccination is recommended, although the need for this booster has not been established. Consult your veterinarian for more details on revaccination.
Cautions and Warnings:
- For animal use only.
- Use entire contents immediately
- Store between 2°C and 8°C (35°F to 46°F). Do not freeze.
- Avoid mixing with other vaccines.
- Not for use in pregnant dogs.
- May cause allergic reactions. Antidotes include epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines.
- Do not vaccinate sick or parasitized dogs.
- Contains gentamicin as a preservative.
- If exposed to humans, seek medical attention.
