- Remove the used foam filter from the fountain
- Insert the pump into the foam filter from the top so the cord rests on top of the filter
- Place the pump and filter inside the square indentation on the bottom of the bowl according to your fountain manual
- Press down to engage the suction cups
- Replace the foam filter every 1–2 months or as needed
- Replace more frequently in multi-pet households or for pets that produce excess saliva
