Rhinopneumonitis EHV-1p & EHV-1b (KV)

For the vaccination of healthy pregnant mares as an aid in the prevention of abortion due to EHV-1.

Dosage and Administration:

• For pregnant mares, give a 2 mL dose IM during the 5th, 7th and 9th months of pregnancy.
• To help prevent EHV-1 respiratory disease in young horses, aseptically administer one 2 mL dose IM after weaning, followed by a second 2 mL dose 3 to 4 weeks later.
• It is recommended to revaccinate. Revaccinate with a single 2 mL dose 6 months after the second primary dose and annually thereafter.
• To ensure proper placement and retention of the vaccine, inject deep into the heavy muscles of the hindquarter.
  

Storage:

Store in the dark at 2°C to 8°C (35°F to 46°F). Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures and/or direct sunlight may adversely affect potency. Do NOT freeze. Shake vigorously before use to assure uniform suspension of the vaccine.
