The Ratinator Rodent Trap

I’ve caught 50 in one week.

I followed the instructions leaving it open for a few days. On the 4th day I baited it heavily and closed the escape door. In 6 hours of daylight it caught 10. This morning there were 30+. Mostly babies and one adult. Dispatching was heartbreaking, yet necessary and easy.
I have only seen 1 today.
No poison, no worries.

this is our second one. We caught over 50 rats the first week we put it out. Since then we have had days where we only caught one and others where we got a handful. The rats do seem to learn. So moving to others areas seems to help. Our first is showing age after a few years of usage. A little rust, a few areas where wires have come loose and have needed simple repairs. I had posted about it on our local chicken group there most others reported good luck with theirs with a couple reporting no luck at all.
