Rx Lutalyse Sterile Solution

LUTALYSE Injection is used to control the timing of estrus and ovulation in estrous cycling cattle that have a corpus luteum. Used as a luteolytic agent in cattle. Parturition induction in swine. Luteolytic effect in mares. Used as an injection.

Each mL contains dinoprost tromethamine equivalent to 5 mg dinoprost; benzyl alcohol, 16.5 mg added as a preservative; and water for injection.

Indications for Use:

In cattle: 1. For estrus synchronization in beef cows, beef heifers and replacement dairy heifers; 2. for unobserved estrus in lactating dairy cows with a corpus luteum; 3. for treatment of pyometra (chronic endometritis); 4. for abortion in beef cows, beef heifers and replacement dairy heifers; 5. for use with FACTREL injection to synchronize estrous cycles; 6. for use in estrus synchronization with EASI-Breed CIDR in lactating dairy cows; and 7. for use with EAZI-Breed CIDT for estrus synchronization in suckled beef cows and replacement beef and dairy heifers, advancement of first postpartum estrus in suckled beef cows, and advancement of first pubertal estrus in beef heifers.

In swine: for parturition induction.

In mares: for controlling the timing of estrus in estrous cycling mares and cynically anestrous mares that have a corpus luteum and for difficult-to-breed mares.

Storage:

Store at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Use contents within 12 weeks of first vial puncture. No vial stopper should be entered more than 20 times. Protect from freezing. Keep out of reach of children.
