Safe-Guard® Fenbendazole Paste 10% is a convenient, palatable dewormer formulated for horses of all ages — including foals and pregnant or lactating mares. Each 25 g tube contains fenbendazole and an apple-cinnamon flavoring to promote acceptance and reduce waste. The paste provides reliable treatment and control of a broad range of internal parasites commonly found in horses.

• Effective against: large strongyles, small strongyles, encysted cyathostome larvae (early & late 3rd stage and 4th stage), pinworms (Oxyuris equi), ascarids (Parascaris equorum), and arteritis caused by 4th stage Strongylus vulgaris larvae
• Apple-cinnamon flavored paste for improved palatability and less waste
• One 25 g tube treats up to 1,250 lb (approx. 568 kg) bodyweight
• Safe for use in foals, breeding stallions, and pregnant or lactating mares
• Convenient syringe paste for accurate, hassle-free dosing

Directions:

• Foals & Weanlings (under 18 months):
  Since ascarids are common at this age, use 4.6 mg per lb (10 mg/kg) of body weight. One syringe will treat a 550 lb horse.
• Adult Horses (large strongyles, small strongyles, pinworms):
  Use 2.3 mg per lb (5 mg/kg) of body weight.
• For encysted larvae and Strongylus vulgaris (advanced treatment):
  Use 4.6 mg per lb (10 mg/kg) of body weight daily for 5 consecutive days.
  One syringe per 550 lb body weight per day.

Important: Always dose according to the horse’s current weight. Do not underdose, as this may reduce effectiveness and encourage parasite resistance.
