Give your calves a strong nutritional foundation with Sav-A-Caf® Performance Calf Milk Replacer. Formulated with highly digestible all-milk proteins, this complete and balanced milk replacer is designed to support healthy growth, development, and overall performance in young calves. Enhanced with essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and beneficial ingredients, it provides dependable nutrition for calves during the critical early stages of life.
Ideal for dairy and beef operations, Sav-A-Caf® Performance Milk Replacer helps support immune function, digestive health, muscle development, and bone growth. Its nutrient-rich formula is especially beneficial for high-risk calves or calves that may not have received adequate maternal colostrum.
With a balanced 20% protein and 20% fat formula, this milk replacer delivers the energy and nutrition needed to help calves thrive from the start.
Add three level scoops (using the enclosed scoop) to 2 quarts of warm water (115°F–120°F). Mix thoroughly with a wire whisk to create approximately 2.3 quarts of milk replacer solution. Cool to body temperature (102°F–105°F) before feeding.
Mix powder into water and feed immediately. If preparing larger batches, keep the solution agitated during dispensing to prevent settling. Refrigerate any unused mixed solution promptly and use within 24 hours after reheating to feeding temperature.
Feed milk replacer solution at 102°F–105°F. Adjust feeding rates based on calf size, body condition, growth goals, and environmental conditions. Always provide clean, fresh water.
Large Breed Calves (approximately 120 lbs.):
Feed 2.3 quarts of mixed milk replacer solution twice daily.
Additional feedings of non-medicated milk replacer or energy supplements may be beneficial during cold weather. Consult your veterinarian or animal nutritionist for individualized feeding recommendations.
For optimal health and development, newborn calves should receive fresh colostrum from their mother as soon as possible after birth. Colostrum provides vital nutrients, growth factors, and immune-supporting proteins that are critical during the first hours of life. If maternal colostrum is unavailable or insufficient, frozen stored colostrum or a high-quality colostrum replacer may be used.
