Product description

Apoquel dog allergy medication targets source of pruritus in dogs to stop the itch within 4 hours of onset.

Why would Apoquel benefit my dog?

Apoquel treatment is uniquely targeted to stop dog itching at the source with minimal negative effect on immune function. Relief is provided within 4 hours after the onset of pruritus in dogs and is effectively controlled within 24 hours for itchy dog skin caused by several factors; including food allergies, flea allergies, contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis helping your dog have relief while your veterinarian continues to determine the underlying cause. Apoquel provides quick relief short-term and reduces itching and inflammation long term. Apoquel can be used in conjunction with other medications, including NSAIDS, parasiticides, antibiotics, vaccines, and allergen-specific immunotherpay.

How Apoquel works to target dog itchy skin?

Apoquel is a selective janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor, which targets pruritogenic (itch creating) cytokines. It differs from other common dog pruritus therapies such as steroids, cyclosporines or antihistamines, Apoquel targets the key itch signal in the nervous system stopping the itch within four hours of onset, comparable to steroids.

Apoquel is for use in dogs over 12 months in age and weighing more than 6.6 lbs.

How is Apoquel Available?
